I don’t entirely know how I want this substack to operate yet, but since I haven’t posted in over a month I wanted to offer a brief studio update.
Here I am in the Dwightmess gallery with some WIP pages of a long form comic I’m predicting will be around 23 pages (at least according to the current draft of thumbnails). To be honest this comic is the reason I haven’t felt like there’s been much to share here. While these pencils are certainly work, it doesn’t necessarily feel satisfying to present projects in their messy middle stages.
Though, maybe process posts would be helpful/interesting? We’ll see.
I did manage to squeeze one diary comic out of March:
And in between working on Nino I’ve had fun indulging in drawings of my friend’s romance novel characters participating in… activities. And feeling… feelings!

Daily comics and smutty sketches for friends are nice and necessary reprieves from longer, more arduous projects. Drawing should be fun! Drawing is fun! If I have to draw fanart of a friend’s chaotically horny 19th century characters to remind myself of that sometimes, so be it!
I’m going to leave you with a three-eared rabbit my friend in Wisconsin spotted in her yard. She sent a lot of pics but this one best shows off the ears.
I’ve never seen something like this before in my life and I feel like the internet should know.
